In addition to CBI we have J Carpenter Environmental, our subsidiary company. J Carpenter Environmental, LLC (JCE) provides products and equipment used by manufacturers, industrial mineral processors, and contractors for dust management, waste treatment, pollution control, hydraulic barriers, waste solidification, and drilling. JCE offers only top-performing products from the most reliable, well-established, and trusted manufacturers.

Primary Purpose and Functions:

Functions with the Supply Chain department to assist in the management of purchasing and railcar transloading. Specifically in relation to work with our subsidiary, J. Carpenter Environmental.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Purchasing

  • Review reports for products needed to keep warehouses stocked per customer needs
  • Set up new item numbers
  • Quote new material to be stocked in the warehouse, then send quote to Supply Chain Manager for approval

J Carpenter Environmental

  • Work with transportation providers (truckload, LTL, rail, bulk pneumatic) to secure rate quotes
  • Ordering rail cars with vendors to transload warehouses
  • Receiving rail car products into the ERP system
  • Approving invoices from vendors for rail car products and freight
  • Update weights for bulk shipments and add misc. costs
  • Approve, update, and track outbound invoices from trans loaders and carriers
  • Approve, update, and track outbound invoices for direct loads

Qualifications

· Relevant bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or logistics (preferred)

· 2-3 Years experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics

· Ability to work in a Microsoft Office environment – proficient in Excel

· Previous ERP experience

· Detail oriented mindset

· Able to lift 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
