Uni-Cote A-800 is a very high alumina product used for patching coreless furnaces melting steel. If you are using a dry vibe and get some cracks, slap some Uni-Cote in there to keep your campaign alive. All you do is mix with some water and smear it in there as if you are coating a ladle, and this will act as a parting plane. Or if you have common wear area’s in a furnace, you can apply this, adding an extra layer of support that could help reduce the wear. The moral of the story is if you are using a dry vibe and melting steel, you should keep some Uni-Cote A-800 on the shelf.
